Our Group Therapy Experts
Disconnection is at the root of so much mental-emotional pain, both from one another and from ourselves. In group therapy, members not only participate in holding space for one another’s suffering, but also compassionately, respectfully holding a mirror to one another, holding each other accountable, and holding one another in healing. Group is an opportunity to observe patterns of disconnection and, in real time and in relationship to one another, to deconstruct these patterns in order to connect to one another. By achieving authentic, secure connections in group, members are more able to rehabilitate their connection to themselves and recognize opportunities, outside of group, for developing and deepening relationships. Our clients often have breakthroughs in groups that they would never have in an individual session. The pooled energy, experience, and insight of a group has a unique, powerful, transformative potential.
